It contains music from all three films of the original Star Wars trilogy: Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. The music was remastered from the best available sources at the time. The fourth disc contains alternate and expanded cues, and never-before-released tracks (and in some cases, since). The colorful booklet touches upon all facets of John Williams's music with extensive and in-depth examination of Williams's compositions, including comparisons between the soundtrack recordings and their film counterparts.
