Johann Sebastian Bach’s Orgelbüchlein (Little Organ Book), BWV 599–644, is a cornerstone of the organ repertoire, comprising 45 chorale preludes that traverse the liturgical calendar. Composed primarily between 1708 and 1717 during Bach's tenure in Weimar, this collection was intended as a comprehensive musical guide through the Church year, though only a portion of the planned 164 settings were completed.
